A Plausible Scenario

A plausible scenaria—Kurt gave his new number to Charles Peterson right?

Courtney had all calls blocked but for Kurt's while she was at the Peninsula Hotel.

Kurt had a cell phone but it obviously wasn't with him in LA. Perhaps he did jump the wall, seems like something he would do, as Courtney kept calling the rehab 13 times he simply goes completely off radar. He gets a ride—as to not be seen—to Rosemary's Office,  Kurt asks for a 87K Royalty check as his card had been cancelled by Courtney. He also updates his Will. Rosemary calls Gold Mountain for the check and he gets a ride there. While there, Gold Mountain reminds Kurt that Courtney’s code name is "Elizabeth" as he forgot her alias. The switchboard takes a call from GM number, he can't get through to her room because she has all lines blocked except for her husbands. So the switchboard passes the message to the proper agent who delivers the message to the room of the alias, as Switchboard operators are not trusted to know the room of the alias as the Peninsula hotel is all about confidentiality, the switchboard did not allow his call to go straight through to her room basically, otherwise, if he was using his cell phone it would have automatically gone to her room. Thus the designated messenger sends the message to the room, the message is more like "husband called" "Elizabeth" from number 213 850-5660 (GM number which he called from).  So he gets his royalty check in a large envelope, he flashes his frequent flyer milage to the front desk of LAX and gets a first class seat home. He arrives around 2 AM or so, see's his Volvo there, stays up that night and calls Johnson in the morning from the cell phone that he left at the house (he kept it there before going to rehab). He scribbles down the directions to Johnson's office on the back of the royalty check envelope. Lee Johnson is his agent and accountant, he is also a notery public, he is to notarize his Will. The starting location for the directions are from Lake Washington E and ends at Lee Johnson - VWC Management, 13343 Bellevue-Redmond Road, Bellevue, Washington 98005. Because Courtney was kicked out of the house, she has to use Lee Johnson’s number and address on her police arrest report and missing persons report, so any calls to her regarding Kurt goes to Lee Johnson’s office. Guess who works with Lee Johnson in Seattle? John Silva. John Silva supposedly really liked Courtney Love but really hated Cobain, the two were doing a lot of the coordinating. (John gave Kurt the possibly laced carton of smokes in February -  "he's trying to kill me" said Kurt on his birthday when he recieved the gift, a week later he had to end the tour due to laryngitis and bronchitis.) So Kurt is ready to drive, his tires on the Volvo are flat now. He calls the cops, reports it and calls Lee back, Krists has Kurt's Dodge Dart still at the house.  Kurt takes a cab to buy bullets because Harvey never returned the originals and someone has obviously vandalized his car, no place is open. He goes to Aurora (this is likely where he meets Peterson, Kurt gives him his new cell number) he meets with Kristen Pffaf and Eric Erlandson, they go to get the Dodge from Krist's house, Krist had been working on repairing the car which had to be jumpstartes), he goes to Bellevue to a mall center first to cash his check, he's in his dodge dart, Eric and Kristen followed him there and they all went together with Kurt, he ditches them and drives to Carnation and spends the night, his envelope was either in Erics van or Eric took it so he never got to cash it. This is when Eric flies to LA to the Peninsula, it's Sunday, Tom Grant is with Courtney, Grant talks about them all being there. Courtney tells Grant to go with Eric (she tells Eric to get back on the plain and grab the guns and bullets, she tells Grant "you leave now!", Grant would also claim that part of his mission was to grab the gun). Kurt buys bullets and comes home and begins to packs his things, he's about to notorize his will, get his money and leave. Kurt's dodge has to be hot wired so no need for keys. His car is stolen along with his Check and Will, they park it back at Krist's. Meanwhile Kurt is chatting with Josef. Josef has said that Cali had some really get shit. Kurt—tempted—begins shooting up, he is sedated by a laced rootbeer. Joe recalls Kurt being a bit loopy and not able to talk, menawhile PI's are showing up. Courtney Love tells David Pearl later on that she told Grant to check the greenhouse as it was Kurt's hiding spot, Josef confirms this as he calls it Kurt's hiding spot. The rest is history

*Elizabeth was used as Courtney's alias so that it looks like Kurt called his mom Wendy Elizabeth O'Conner  thus why she would have put out a missing person's report and thinks he is suicidal ('even though Courtney called in the missing persons report under the name of Wendy O'Connor)

*The contact in the report is Lee Johnson, which intells a conspiracy by Lee Johnson or specifically John Silva and Courtney Love.
