THE MUSIC BANK RAID: April 7, 1994, it was one of the biggest cannabis raids in state history at the time, hitting the famous rehearsal space used by Alice in Chains and other Seattle bands.

​OPERATION DINERO: This massive federal sting wrapped up in 1994. It targeted the Cali Mafia and resulted in 116 arrests and tons of cocaine seized. Because the Pacific Northwest was a major hub for these cells, local secondary arrests continued throughout that summer and fall.

​CAPITOL HILL/CENTRAL DISTRICT "BUY-BUSTS": Throughout the rest of '94, the SPD ran heavy undercover operations in the Capitol Hill and CD areas to combat the crack epidemic. Statewide, there were over 15,000 drug-related arrests that year.

​OPERATION SNOWCAP: As this international cocaine pipeline investigation wound down in late 1994, Washington task forces conducted "sweeps" of mid-level distributors across King and Pierce County.

​GANG-DRUG CRACKDOWNS: Following a spike in violence in early '94, King and Pierce County authorities ramped up arrests of local distribution networks linked to gang activity through the summer months.
