Josef Burn's Book and The Grant Timeline

The autopsy report revealed undigested food in Kurt's stomach, implying he died shortly after eating. However, Joe’s account claims Kurt ate early Saturday morning and died roughly twenty-four hours later. Physiologically, the food would have been fully digested by then. This discrepancy suggests that the "twenty-four hours later" detail is a fictional addition by Chris Todd to manipulate Joe’s testimony.

In his book, Joe notably avoids mentioning specific dates, opting only for days of the week—likely a compromise made with Todd. The evidence actually points to a Monday morning death, specifically around 2:30 a.m. (technically "Sunday night," as referenced in Mark’s song "Sunday Night 2:30 a.m.").

The timeline of the "hot-shot" aligns with this. Mark wrote in his autobiography that he, Grant, and Dylan began searching for Kurt after buying heroin on Capitol Hill. Grant parked outside Kurt’s Lake Washington home, and Dylan approached the house to ask Joe if Kurt was around. When Dylan returned to the car, Grant supposedly called Courtney Love at Rosemary's. It is likely that during this window, Dylan and Mark prepared the hot-shot and entered the house. Did Mark use the Dream Machine to daze Kurt?

Grant is the only third person reported to have entered the house, but he claims this occurred on Thursday when the house was empty. This narrative conveniently explains why his staged audio recordings only feature him and Dylan shouting out Kurt's name. Mark’s own account is contradictory; he claims he was outside smoking by the greenhouse during the search, yet elsewhere writes that they were all inside calling out for Kurt.

Regarding the date of death, Duff, Mark, and Grant all point to the 4th. Even Courtney, in an online rant, placed his death on the 4th. Furthermore, Maureen Herman stated that Dylan told her he and Courtney found the body before the police did. This aligns with Joe’s claim that on Monday, he witnessed Mark, Dylan, a detective, and a "certain someone" (rumored to be the person in the red dress) at the scene.

Finally, consider the financial evidence: who spent $800 at Barneys in Beverly Hills—a luxury store just a short distance from the Peninsula Hotel and Rosemary’s office—using Kurt's card?

A card in Kurt's name was found on Courtney Love during her arrest.

Mark Lanegan's song fits the Day and Time of Kurt's death. The video appears to be a Dream Machine simulator.

Grant seeing the investigator at Cailtins on the 6th contradicts Ernest Barth's police testimony.
